Agawa Canyon Fall Trip

The trip to Agawa Canyon organized by “AKMG Canada” on September 30, 2016 was a great success. Thanks to all members who participated. We had an awesome group. Thoroughly enjoyed. Those who could not make it last minute, we know you are deeply disappointed. We missed you. No worries we will have many more such enjoyable trips in the future.

The sight-seeing  tour  to Agawa Canyon, organized by AKMG Canada  was very enjoyable and interesting. Thanks to the hard work of the enthusiastic organizers.

The bus journey was fun with all from Greater Toronto, Hamilton, New Brunswick, London, and Ottawa, joined together like one big family. We sang songs, played Anthakshari  and chatted till we lost our voices!

The train tour was informative with a commentary along the way, pointing out the best views from the train, and also when to get the best photos of the array of fall colours. The views were stunning along the way, as were the waterfalls when we reached the park – lots of opportunity for some group photos.

The eight-hour bus trip to Sault Ste. Marie was most enjoyable, allowing doctors, friends and families to bond and relate to each other through songs, stories and personal experiences. The trip was superbly executed with fine details carefully planned; the group enjoyed the luncheons, snacks and coffee breaks.

The bus journey was fun with all from Greater Toronto, Hamilton, New Brunswick, London, and Ottawa, joined together like one big family. We sang songs, played Anthakshari  and chatted till we lost our voices! The snacks brought by some of us made it all the more interesting! Once we reached the hotel hot Indian food was waiting for us and more families who drove from  Toronto, Hamilton and Sudbury also joined us. The hotel was comfortable .The train journey winding around the historic town, hills, valleys, rivers and lakes was breathtaking with trees and bushes in wide  range of colours along the way. The Canyon itself gave us the feeling of being in the lap of mother nature with beautiful waterfalls hiking trails and many lush plants and trees and above all clean fresh air. Everything was even more enjoyable when surrounded by good company. The AGM was very productive, where the experienced senior generation and the younger generation sat down and exchanged various ideas for the future of AKMG Canada. The  sober mood one got when the fun journey was coming to an end, was diminished somewhat when  we had a self introduction session of each family in the bus , and we all got to know each other even more. Wishing AKMG Canada a bright future and looking forward to more fun trips.
